This is my first 3D printer. Is a little play in the hot end normal? In the Kossel End Effector design, there is a large spring that goes onto the mount of the hot end. Fully assembled, I can depress the hot end and wobble it around and feel the spring pushing back.

I was able to wiggle mine. I honestly never thought to move it. It has not been an issue. The spring is a take-up spring to account for manufacturing tolerances of hot ends. I suppose it also provides some protection if you crash the hot end into the bed.
